What is an online product configurator?
It is a tool that lets your customer build their own product on your website: they choose the colors, materials and options, then see the result before ordering. With photos, you need one image per combination; in 3D, a single model shows them all. 3DVue software turns your 3D files into configurators of this kind, with no development: your customers rotate the product, customize it and see it in their home in augmented reality.
Do I need 3D files?
Yes. The software accepts glTF, GLB, FBX, OBJ, STL and 4 other formats, converted directly in your browser. If you have no 3D files, our studio can model your products and build your configurator from A to Z: that is our custom configurator service.
How much does an online product configurator cost?
With the software, the trial is free for 14 days, with no credit card. Paid plans then start at €49 per month excl. VAT, with 1 month free on annual billing and no commission on your sales. Plan details are on the Pricing page. For a custom configurator built by our studio, plan on €5,000 excl. VAT and up, quoted per project.
What happens at the end of the 14-day trial?
Without a paid plan, your account is paused: your products no longer display on your website, but nothing is deleted. Just choose a plan to get everything back.
How do I add a product configurator to PrestaShop, Shopify or WooCommerce?
Each product has a direct link, an iframe code and a widget. On PrestaShop, paste the iframe into the product description or an HTML block module; on Shopify, into a Custom Liquid block on the product page; on WooCommerce and WordPress, into a custom HTML block. It also works on Wix and any website that accepts HTML code. When you edit a product, it is updated everywhere it is embedded.
Does the configurator work on mobile and in augmented reality?
Yes. The configurator displays on desktop, tablet and phone. An augmented reality button, enabled in the software, lets your customers place the product in their home at its real size, with no app.
What is the AI Photo Studio?
It is a tool included in paid plans that creates product photos from your 3D model: a packshot on a neutral background or a staged scene in your own settings. Images are bought with tokens (€0.50 excl. VAT per token, 2 tokens per image), and every plan includes tokens when you subscribe.
Can I change plans or stop?
Yes, at any time and with no commitment. If you move to a smaller plan or stop, extra products and materials are paused, never deleted. You choose yourself which ones stay active.
How is it different from the custom configurator?
With the software, you build your configurator yourself from your 3D files and ready-made settings. With a custom project, our studio does everything for you: modeling, rendering settings adjusted by hand, an interface matching your brand, compatibility rules, proofs and production files. Both run on the same 3D engine.
Which products can be configured with the software?
Any product where a few areas change material or color, and which can offer options, for example with or without armrests: furniture, lighting, jewelry, textiles, accessories, promotional products. For a very complex product, with dozens of parts and compatibility rules, the custom configurator is a better fit.
