Is my file sent to a server?+

No. Everything happens in your browser: the 3D preview, the validator, and the conversion. The file never leaves your computer, at any point.

Which formats are accepted?+

glTF, GLB, FBX, OBJ, STL, PLY, DAE, 3DS and 3MF. glTF and GLB files are displayed and checked directly; other formats are converted to glTF right in your browser.

Does the conformance validator work on every format?+

No, only on glTF and GLB files: that is the only format the official Khronos validator knows. For another format, first download the .gltf conversion with the tool, then drop that .gltf file to check it.

Does the downloaded .gltf file work in other software?+

Yes: it is a standard glTF file (Draco-compressed when possible), which opens in Blender, the Khronos online validator, or any glTF-compatible software.
