What is CGI product photography?+
CGI product photography (also called 3D product rendering) creates photorealistic product images from a 3D model instead of a physical photo shoot. Textures, reflections and shadows are computed the same way a photo studio would light them, but every variant and angle comes from the same file, not a new session.
How is 3D product rendering different from a real photo?+
On a good product listing, the difference is imperceptible. 3D product rendering faithfully reproduces textures, reflections and shadows. It also allows angles impossible in a studio and perfect consistency across all variants.
Do I need an existing 3D model for CGI product photography?+
No. We can create the 3D model from your photos, plans or technical files. If you already have models, we retrieve and optimize them. Either way, we handle everything.
How long before I receive the first 3D product renders?+
Once the 3D model is approved, the first renders are delivered in 24 to 48 hours. For a complete catalog with multiple variants, allow a few extra days depending on volume.
In which formats do you deliver the images?+
PNG, JPEG, WebP : in the resolution and format you need. Square for Instagram, rectangular for Shopify, high resolution for print. We adapt to your use case.
Is the AI lifestyle image suitable for all product listings?+
It is best suited to ambiance and usage contexts : a product in its natural environment. It is a complementary service, independent of the configurator. For white-background packshots, technical views or B2B catalogs, we use classic 3D rendering, which is more precise.
Can variants be added after the first delivery?+
Yes, at any time. New color, new material, new finish : we generate the additional renders from the existing model. No new photo shoot, no long lead time.
Do you offer AI-generated packshots?+
Yes, alongside classic 3D rendering. For lifestyle visuals and in-context shots, we combine the real 3D model with an AI-generated background : the product stays accurate, only the background is generated. For white-background packshots or technical views, we stick to classic 3D rendering, which is more precise.
