Until now, building a 3D configurator with 3DVue meant going through our studio: modeling, integration, support, end to end. That custom service continues unchanged, for brands that don't have 3D files yet or want a fully handled project.
But the engine running those configurators already existed, independently of the service. Today we're opening it directly to brands that already have their 3D files: the 3DVue software, self-service, at saas.3dvue.fr.
Why a software product, after three years of custom work
Nearly all of our custom clients arrive without a 3D file: our studio creates it, part by part, from photos or drawings. But more and more brands were reaching out with their 3D files already ready, looking only for the tool to put them online: the configurator, the integration, augmented reality. For them, the full service was more than they needed.
The software answers that exact need. It reuses the same building blocks as our custom projects: real-time 3D engine, a catalog of 319 materials, augmented reality, integration by link, iframe or widget on any site. You import your 3D model, adjust materials and lighting, and integrate the result. No developer, no multi-month project.
The AI Photo Studio: the other half of the software
The software isn't just the configurator: it includes the AI Photo Studio, which generates product photos from your product's exact 3D model. The product itself never changes: only the background around it is created by AI.
We wanted to check what that really changes, against mainstream generative AI tools. The test is simple: a real chair from our client Polimair, the Beluga, three legs, shell and seat in two colors. Same reference photo, same prompt, given word for word to ChatGPT, to Gemini, and to 3DVue's AI Photo Studio.
Same chair, same prompt: ChatGPT and Gemini redraw the product (wrong colors, 4 hallucinated legs), the AI Photo Studio reproduces it from the exact 3D model.
ChatGPT places the chair in the wrong colors, with botched armrests. Gemini invents a 4-legged shape. Both redraw the product rather than reproducing it, because they generate an image from a description and a photo, without knowing the product's real geometry. The AI Photo Studio, instead, starts from the 3D model: the Beluga's 3 legs stay the Beluga's 3 legs, across all 8 of its real colorways, generated in the same batch.
The full test, its method and its acknowledged limits (a single product tested, a distinctive shape) are in the article ChatGPT, Gemini, or AI Photo Studio: which one respects your product?

What about the custom service?
It continues unchanged. Brands without 3D files yet, or that want a fully handled, on-brand configurator with final sign-off and production files, stay with 3DVue's custom service, starting at 5,000 USD. The software doesn't replace that service: it answers a different need, that of brands already equipped with 3D who want to move on their own.
